32 weeks and counting...

Pregnancy Highlights: (GB stands for Gummy Bear)

How Far Along: 32 weeks

Fruit / Veggie: a large jicama
Size: 3.75 lbs and 16.7 inches long

Baby Changes: I'm gaining about a pound a week (or 1.5 lbs in my case) and roughly half of that is going straight to baby
* GB is going to gain 1/3 to 1/2 of its weight during the next 7 weeks
* GB now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (and if GB takes after momma, it will be A LOT)!
* skin is becoming soft and smooth

Total Weight Gain / Loss: I gained another 3 pounds over the past 2 weeks, for a total of 29 pounds

Best Moment this week: I don't know if I would call it the best, but rather very useful and informative...
Johnny and I went to our 8 hour childbirth class this past Saturday. We got a tour of the ETMC labor and delivery wing and loaded with new info. Out of the 8 couples in our class, 6 are having girls and 1 couple a boy, we were the only 'surprisers.' And my husband, always the comic relief, made class more entertaining. :)

I officially began work last week on Wednesday and got to attend the Because I Care Banquet in Longview on Thursday. (Check out http://bictexas.org/ for more information). Each year they have a donor / recipient meeting. This year a New York firefighter (who donated his marrow) got to meet his recipient (an East Texas pastor) for the very first time. WOW! Not a dry eye in the room. The firefighter also gave his marrow recipient the award he received for his work at the World Trade Center Towers when 9/11 took place.

Gender: We've chosen to be surprised!

Movement: GB's movement has gotten notably stronger and stronger this past week!

Food / Drink Cravings: milk, PB & J, Gatorade, apples, oatmeal

What I miss: having our kids (Bourne and Bauer) around the house - I know they would love it here watching all the wildlife - deer, ducks, hawks. We sure are loving it!
(I hope to posts pictures this weeeeeeek)

Sleep: Still getting up, rather awkwardly and uncomfortably, every couple of hours for a bathroom trip. I guess I can't really complain...it could be (and will very likely) be getting worse.

What I am looking forward to: My mom is coming in town this weekend and possibly a couple friend of ours :) WooHoo!

Symptoms: I woke up Sunday morning feeling 'no nausea' and even woke my husband up to tell him "Guess what?! I haven't needed to take my zofran this morning." I spoke too soon though, because I was soon hugging the toilet a couple of times throughout the rest of the morning.
So all that to say, I'm still taking my zofran each morning to get me through the 'morning sickness' which seems so bizarre that I am still getting it.
Other daily symptoms include: acid reflux (I hope the only time I ever have to experience this is during pregnancy), sore ribs and lower back
